How to Onboard Assets?

How to Onboard Assets?

  1. Select and Set Gateway


    After selecting the gateway where you want to onboard Modbus devices, set the gateway for Modbus connection by creating a Modbus template. You can name the template label, choose RTU or TCP mode, and select a baud rate.
    You can also load existing Modbus template to onboard devices faster.

  2. Set Modbus Devices


    Select a Modbus device by manufacturer or model in the list that you want to onboard. Then give slave IDs if they are RTU devices or enter IP addresses if they are TCP devices. You can add another Modbus device if you want to onboard more.
    What if your Modbus devices are not in the list? You can add generic ones.

  3. Add Registers


    Select registers for each Modbus device. Every register has information if its device manufacturer, its unit and access mode. After register selection for every Modbus device, you can apply it to onboard devices.
